At 22 years old, Andrea Turk is no stranger to the Pop scene— her background in Classical Voice coupled with her story-telling lyrics and HyperPop-infused production charms her listeners into a never-ending escapade of genre-bending tunes.
At the age of 16, the descendant of the Indonesian national anthem composer (W.R. Soepratman) was garnering accolades– winning first place at Song Academy’s International Songwriting Competition for her first single “Who We Are”, which later on landed a placement on New Music Friday upon its first week of release as well as a spot in ISC’s semi-finalist list in 2017. That same year, she opened for The Chainsmokers LIVE in Jakarta with DJ group Weird Genius. In 2019, she was chosen by the President of Indonesia to perform as a soloist accompanied with the GBN orchestra for Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day ceremony at the Palace airing on live national television. Turk has completed rigorous music training, including summer camps at Berklee College of Music, NYU Steinhardt, NYU TISCH Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, and obtaining certificates from SAE Institute, ABRSM, as well as completing her bachelor’s degree majoring in VoiceArts and minoring in Digital Arts at California Institute of the Arts. She is currently attending a 1-year Masters program at BerkleeNYC studying Songwriting & Production.
